Within the United States (US), billing insurance is often the most cost-effective choice. Our billing support team works with you and on your behalf to determine your options, help maximize your insurance payments and help minimize your personal responsibility. Insurance (US only)
Most insurance plans cover genetic testing, and we are in-network with most US health insurance plans.
Here's how it works:

• When your test is complete, we submit a claim to your insurance. Once your insurance processes this claim, we send you an explanation of benefits (EOB). This is not a bill.
• If it is determined that your responsibility is over $100, you’ll receive an automated or live call from our billing team to talk about options based on your specific situation.

Medicare and Medicaid (US only)
Insurance coverage is accepted for all tests for patients with Medicare, Medicaid or other managed care coverage, with no exceptions. Patients with an out-of-pocket responsibility over $100 will receive an automated call from us. If the responsibility is over $250, we will follow up again with a live call.

We do not accept private non-US-based insurance. Outside the US, we offer a patient-pay option. If you have questions, please reach out to our dedicated billing specialists at LcGeneticsBilling@labcorp.com or 833-941-0828.

You may receive an EOB from your insurance company in the mail. This is not a bill.

This program is one of the many ways we’re working to make genetics accessible and affordable. The financial assistance application includes detailed income criteria and a guide for federal poverty level limits and discounts. A percent discount will be based on each patient’s personal circumstances, and our billing team will help you navigate your options. Eligibility criteria will factor in existing medical expenses.
