Genetic risk testing offers healthy adults without a strong personal or family history of disease an opportunity to learn about how their genes could potentially impact their health. If results indicate a potential or likely pathogenic change, they can be proactively monitored or offered preventive care solutions before they develop cancer, have a heart attack, or experience an adverse reaction to a medication.
